American actress Jane Marie Lynch was born on July 14, 1960, to a Catholic family in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Her father, Frank Lynch, was a banker, while her mother, Eileen Lynch, was a secretary turned homemaker.
Lynch fell in love with acting in third grade and pursued the art even in her academic life. She attended Thorn Ridge High School, where she performed in the high school choir. In 1982, Lynch attended Illinois State University, Chicago, where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in theater. Later, she undertook a master’s in acting at Cornell University, New York.

The 64-year-old American actress is completely deaf in her right ear. Lynch shared that a high fever she suffered from when she was just a baby left her with nerve deafness. The disability was discovered when she was seven years old while she and her brother were playing with a transistor radio.

In her personal life, Jane Lynch’s relationships have been a source of both joy and challenge. She met Dr. Lara Embry, a clinical psychologist, in 2009, and they got married on Memorial Day in 2010 in Massachusetts. However, the two divorced three years later, in 2014. Jane Lynch does not have biological children; however, when she married Lara Embry, the Glee star became a stepparent to Lara’s two daughters, Chase and Haden, a role that has undoubtedly shaped her life in profound ways.
