He graduated from Harvard University and studied law at Columbia before starting his political career in the New York State Senate. He served as Assistant Secretary of the Navy during World War I and later became the Governor of New York in 1928.

In 1921, Franklin D. Roosevelt faced a significant challenge when he contracted polio, resulting in permanent paralysis from the waist down. This display of resilience clearly demonstrated his character and determination, inspiring admiration in all who hear his story, even today.

As the 32nd President of the United States, Roosevelt faced the daunting task of confronting the Great Depression. His response was the New Deal, a series of reforms that aimed at economic recovery and provided crucial social support. These reforms, which included the establishment of Social Security and creating jobs through public works projects, had a huge impact on the nation. His engaging communication style, particularly through his ‘Fireside Chats,’ helped instill hope among Americans during their times of trial. As World War II unfolded, Roosevelt mobilized the nation for war and built vital alliances. He was re-elected multiple times, reflecting his strong leadership. Roosevelt passed away on April 12, 1945, in Warm Springs, Georgia, leaving behind a significant legacy in American history. Roosevelt’s dynamic leadership and innovative policies left an enduring mark on the United States, steering the nation through some of its most challenging times.
