O.J. Simpson's trial was probably one of the most famous trials in modern times; it aired in almost every media outlet back in the day. The story that O.J. Simpson had been convicted for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ronald Goldman spread, and people called for justice. O.J. was acquitted of these murders, but his altercation with some memorabilia dealers brought the cases to light resulting in his being found guilty and imprisoned.

On December 5th, 2008, O.J. Simpson received a sentence of 33 years in prison with the eligibility for parole in 9 years. In 2017, he was released on parole and was freed three months later.
